"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." ~ Albert Einstein

Lieutenant Colonel Cameron Mitchell

Bio/Facts

Cameron Mitchell's age/birthdate is unknown but given his rank, he's very likely in his late thirties, having been promoted early for services rendered as a 302 pilot. He was born in Auburn, Kansas, where his parents still live, and he has no siblings.

In 2004, he was already a member of the SGC, assigned to an F302 attachment at Area 51. During the battle over Antarctica, he was seriously wounded and spent a year in the hospital learning to walk again. When he was healthy again, at the beginning of 2006, he was given command of SG-1 as a reward for saving the lives of SG-1 during the battle with Anubis' fleet. What he hadn't known until he arrived at the SGC was that the "old" SG-1 was no longer active, the members having been reassigned elsewhere. It didn't take him long, however, to get the former members of SG-1 back together again.

Current(2007) status unknown.

Odds and Ends

Drinks Coors beer, favors meat and potatoes, and prefers the Szechuan type of Chinese food.

Cameron is a man who needs to be busy when cooped up in a restricted place, such as the base or on a ship. Without some sort of activity to keep him occupied, he easily goes stir-crazy. It's likely that he's been this way all his life but the long stay in the hospital after his F302 accident probably exacerbated his 'normal' restless behavior.

Has an interest in a woman back in his home town, but there's no evidence that he's been able to pursue that relationship because of it's distance relative to his job. It's not likely he'd find someone not closely involved in his work. Given his rather busy schedule, he doesn't seem to be ready to settle down at the present time. His job, pretty much, is his life, because Cameron is first and foremost career military.
